Raise your appetizer game with these crispy chicken wings coated in rich cowboy butter, balancing savory flavors with the perfect crispy texture.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or air fryer to 375-400°F (190-200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry and toss with baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. If using an oven, arrange wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet and bake for 45-60 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. If using an air fryer, place wings in a single layer and cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping occasionally.
  5. In a bowl, combine softened butter, parsley, chives, garlic, cayenne, and optional Dijon mustard and lemon juice. Mix well.
  6. Once cooked, transfer wings to a bowl and pour melted cowboy butter over them.
  7. Toss to coat thoroughly and serve immediately with dips and garnish as desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate wings in hot sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt for 30 minutes before cooking.
